Giselle Lorenz Brock recently moved back to WA from New York City. While in New York she attended the 2011 Rockette Summer Intensive and trained at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway. In May, she was featured in a new piece at The Choreographer’s Canvas with Crystal Chapman’s company New York Theatre Dance Ensemble and was a highlighted vocalist at Symphony Space with Broadway Dance Center’s Student Performance Showcase. She also performed as a HUE Leggings dancer for Broadway on Broadway’s 2010 televised annual event in Times Square.

This past June was Giselle’s third year performing in Broadway Bares. She had the pleasure of working with one of Broadway’s top choreographers Josh Rhodes on the Opening Number: Bares 21. In the past she’s worked with Tammy Colucci on Connecticut Avenue: Bares 20 and Peter Gregus on the Opening Number: Bares 19 each held at the Roseland Ballroom in Manhattan. She has also performed choreography by Broadway veterans Luis Salgado (In the Heights) and her mentor Rachelle Rak (Fosse/Catch Me If You Can).

Giselle has worked on the west coast with Stiletto Entertainment and Holland America Cruise Lines, ARC Dance Productions, Studio East, Westlake Dance Center, and Avant Garde Entertainment. Her choreography credits include: Working for South Puget Sound Community College, Differently the Same with EnL’air Dance Company and various entertainment venues with Laughter Masters Productions. Giselle’s regional theatre credits include: A Chorus Line (Cassie), Bloody Poetry (Claire), Genesis: the Mary Shelly Play (Claire Goodwin) and Working (Kate).

In addition to taking classes and performing in New York, Giselle taught advanced classes at Dance Cavise in Mamaroneck, NY and at Icon Dance Complex (home of ABDC Iconic Boyz) in Englishtown, NJ. She continues to be a guest choreographer for Showbiz Kidz Theatrical Dance Center in Clinton, NJ and is on staff as a judge for On Point and Headliners National Dance Competitions.

Giselle's Class
Giselle’s class will focus on performance, musicality, dynamics and quality of
movement. Class is designed to familiarize students with the classic styles of dance,
while allowing for the personal styles of each individual student to be expressed. Her
warm-up uses a blend of cardio exercises, classical ballet, modern and jazz movements,
focusing on body alignment, weight distribution, strength and flexibility.

Her choreography incorporates aspects of musical theatre, jazz, ballet, contemporary and
hip-hop styles. Class may be challenging, but the only expectation is that you give it your
all! Please join Giselle on Monday nights for this exciting and new six-week series at
Studio 6 Ballroom. Hope to see you there!
